Click Here to Vote for your dSLR Dad Camera of 2008!

This is a great deal for any dSLR Dad who has owns a license of Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can now move up to Adobe Photoshop CS3 for only $299! That’s more than half off the full price of $649! For those of you are thinking but I don’t have a copy of Elements? Well, you’re in luck, because Amazon still has Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 in stock and it’s only $35.

The fine print:

Of course this is a limited-time offer, but it runs the entire month to February 29. It’s available only to licensed users of Photoshop Elements 1.0–6 and Adobe Photoshop Elements plus Adobe Premiere Elements bundle who purchase the full version of Photoshop CS3 directly from Adobe (available here).

Plus, Adobe has and additional promotion where you can save up to $150 when you buy Photoshop Lightroom together with Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop CS3 Extended. This is a great chance to get two excellent pieces of software at a great price.

Update (2008-2-8): Some of you are having issues with the promotion code taking hold in the Adobe Store. If that’s the case, here is the link to the main offer page. You may have to call in the order on the telephone. I know, I know, that’s soooo 1995….

Looks like they have a standard upgrade of $199 if you’re coming from CS2 (even better!):

Too bad this offer seems to be only for the North Amercan store.

yeah, typical. Adobe doesn’t seem to care for anyone outside the US

I just tried to updagrade from Elements, by phone, and I was told that the offer was only good for the recipients of the email offer. I tried asking if there’s any other way to upgrade using the $299 offer, and was told that the only other updgrade offer was $549. So sad. Anybody else get the same result?

Are you serious… :(
I was going to try and get it this friday, I’ll still try, but if it’s only for recipients of the email, thats just dumb

What did you have to provide? I have elements now, and I’m still interested in updgrading to CS3 by tomorrow’s deadline. Maybe I should call again and see if speaking to someone different will help.

I just ordered it. A different salesperson seems to have made all the difference. I just called the phone number 800-585-0774 and said that I have an offer code (27105, even though that code is already taken if you try to order online) to updgrade to CS3. He had to set up an account number for me. He asked about my elements registration, and I told him that I haven’t registered the software - no more questions after that. He then took my order for $299! So cool. I also went ahead and bought Lightroom at the same time, and received $75 off that too. My total cost for both, with shipping and tax was $559.55.

Similar experience. Told them I wanted to upgrade from Elements. They didn’t even ask me for the key code from elements. What a deal!
